Sam joined Reflections in November 2010. He was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. He is the oldest of 5 children. He started taking piano lessons at 12 years of age. Sam achieved grade 9 playing and grade 2 theory with the Royal Conservatory of Music. He also took guitar lessons at 13 years of age, and later organ lessons. Eventually he reached the goal of teaching others to play these instruments. Sam taught his 79 year old grandmother piano and she passed her grade 1 Conservatory of Music exam with 78%. He has a great love for music and regularly volunteers his time to play for the physically challenged at Participation House and the elderly at various nursing homes. He has also played the piano for over 35 years for people to sing along. Sam enjoys playing the "Floyd Cramer" style of piano but enjoys an amazing variety of music (you wouldn't believe what's on his MP3 player). Sam has been married for almost 30 years and has 2 sons who are also very musical. Sam and his wife Marion currently live in Hamilton, Ontario.
